About Us

Childreach programs are built on more than thirty years of experience in encouraging the healthy development of children from birth through six years. Our programs help families learn, play and grow – together. We give parents, family members and in-home child care providers interactive learning activities to help them with the positive development of young children.

Some programs are free thanks to Ontario Early Years funding. Childreach programs are provided free of charge thanks to grants and donor contributions. Other programs charge a fee for specialized services.

Childreach works with other local agencies and professionals to uncover under-serviced areas and initiate programs, research or projects to fill these gaps. Childreach engages all levels of government to help them understand the importance of the early years and the long-term effects of healthy development at this stage of a child’s life.

Childreach is a resource to early childhood educators in licensed child care programs and early years teachers in elementary schools. We provide professional development, workroom facilities and workshops. Resources, including toys and educational kits, may be borrowed for off site use.

Childreach is the only agency in London to provide educational opportunities and supports to unlicensed in-home child care providers. We acknowledge their commitment to the nurturing and development of young children.

Childreach is researching the needs of different cultural groups in London to gain insight into the parenting needs of newcomers to Canada. We are working with leaders in several ethno-cultural communities to develop inclusive programs and supports which respect cultural diversity. This work is supported by a three year federal grant.
