Workroom

Guidelines:

• Access to the Childreach Workroom is restricted to adults only – no exceptions made.
• Liability waiver must be signed before using equipment.
• Annual Fee $25.00 for purchase of an Access Card.
• “Pay as you go” Card - $5.00 per day.
• Card must be presented upon each visit to access equipment workroom.
• Equipment workroom is located on the 2nd floor of Childreach Centre.
• Membership is not transferable; no refunds.

 Tuesday 12 Noon to 8:30 pm
 Wednesday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
 Thursday 12 Noon to 8:30 pm
 Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
 Saturday* 9 am to 1 pm

Onsite Services/Equipment Available:

**Note:  In accordance with the “Occupational Health & Safety Act of Ontario and the Industrial Regulations regarding equipment onsite, one must be 13 years of age, except during resource drop-off.  Do not leave child(ren) unattended while at 2nd floor ECE Resource Centre.

  • Laminator – 25”, 3 mil - $1.20 per foot (Call for next training time for its use.)
    **Laminator will be shut off 15 minutes prior to closure to allow for cool down.
  • Ellison Letter Machines – selection of over 300 die shapes. Bring your own materials (anything you can cut with scissors) plus specialized materials available for purchase. **At peak times, letter machine use will be limited to 30 minute time slots.  Phone ahead to reserve your time slot on Saturdays.
  • Button Machine - $0.50 each to make your own 2 ½” button.  Photo or paper – call for stencil.
  • Coil Bind Machine - $0.50 per coil – assorted sizes available to purchase or bring your own - $1.00 for covers.
  • Paper trimmers.
  • Overhead projectors for onsite use.
