The Ministry of Education website offers resources to help families prepare, including providing information about The Kindergarten Program. Check out this article about how to best prepare your child. If you know what school your child is attending, your school board’s website will also offer resources and your child’s new school may have kindergarten orientations planned for families.

If you have questions, Childreach can help! Join Marg in the playroom. As you and your child explore, Marg (a former kindergarten teacher) can give you more insights into the kindergarten program. See which drop-in play time works best for you on our calendar.

You can also join Marg for ”Kindergarten Here We Come” on Thursday August 4, 10am-12pm. Find out more and sign up on Eventbrite.

Kindergarten is an exciting next step for your family and your child - we hope you find these resources helpful as you prepare for it!
