WILD CHILD: Do you know how to have fun in transitional weather?

The weather lately has been very changeable. One day cold and windy, the next warm and rainy. Late autumn and early winter revivals spring as the most fun time to be outside, but it also can be the trickiest to dress for. What’s our secret? Rain gear!

Just like a snow suit, rain gear is an essential piece of outdoor play wear in the wetter seasons.

Rain pants and a raincoat or a fully body rain-suit are the best ways to stay dry and have fun in autumn, early winter, and spring. Most Wild child families buy their children’s rain-suits a little big. The rain-suit will fit OVER the snowsuit on wet snowy days (extra waterproofing) and still fit in the spring as well.

Not sure if a rain-suit is worth it? Come try one out! The families in the picture were testing out some of the program rain-suits. Our Wild Child program has several suits available on a first come first served basis that can be borrowed while you and your child attend program. Just bring your waterproof boots to keep your feet dry too.

So come play this week as the weather gets mucky. You will discover it’s easy to have fun and stay warm all year round.
