WILD CHILD: I Spy Wild Geranium

Saturday’s Wild Child program spotted so many newly emerged plants. One in particular had light purple flowers and caught our attention. If you look closely you may even find solitary bees sleeping in its flowers.

Wild Geranium or Spotted Cranesbill

Wild Geranium is a woodland plant that has pretty pink-purple flowers with 5 petals. It has deeply lobed green leaves and can grow to be almost two feet tall. It flowers in late spring, which makes this the perfect time to try and spot it when you are out hiking.
